Code of Ethics as a Career Coach:

The Institute of Global Academia ensures the student's/client's confidentiality as a Certified Career Coach based on the following code of ethics.

1. Developing a Professional Relationship:

The interest in understanding the Client's profile is intended exclusively to gain deeper insight about the client's country preference and career interests. It is important to behave in a professional manner while discussing about the student's career and past academic background. As a career guide, there is no objective to intrude in the student's personal life may it be about the parent's denial for sending abroad or any other personal issues. The Client should be able to develop a sense of trust on the Career Coach that he/she will strive by keeping in mind the client's aspirations and would undoubtedly, prioritize their goal of studying at their dream university.

2. Preserving confidentiality of the Client's Information:

Being responsible for drafting important application documents, filling out academic credentials and filing of the visa by taking into consideration the Client's financial documents, it becomes pivotal to preserve the Client's information. It is erroneous on the Career Counsellor's part to discuss the Client's academic, financial details with anyone without the consent of the Client. The application documents like the Statement of Purpose are of utmost importance while seeking an admit and plagiarism involved in this document cost a great deal for the Client's future. Thus, it is essential for the Career Counsellor to maintain complete confidentiality with the Client's information.

3. Honest and Factual Consultation:

An important disclaimer while counselling a Client is to ensure honesty while encouraging a student to target his/her dream university. It will be deceitful to promise a Client about the probablity of getting into their desired university/college without explaining the fact check. For instance, it will be the Counsellor's fault to promise a student an admit from a high ranked university with low academic grades and low GRE/IELTS score. The student might be overambitious about studying at a particular university but it is the Career Coach's duty to illustrate the eligibility criteria and convince the student to apply for some of the safe universities considering the student's academic performance. There are instances wherein the students or their parents are planning to seek an admit on the basis of their extracurricular achievements (eg. sports) but it is important to explain the rare chance of qualifying on such grounds.

4. Explicit Advertising:

Advertising is an inevitable part of a brand and when it comes to career guidance, there are various competitors in the market selling their services with false promises and substandard services once the client enrolls. Advertisement might not highlight the Orgnization's quality of services but can surely reach the audience with precise content and effective communication. There is never a comparison with your competitors but an honest business with high quality of services can go the extra mile.

5. Authentic Career Guidance:

When a Client takes a psychometric test or has approached you in order to seek assistance for choosing a specific career, it is a sole responsibility of the Career Coach to guide with accurate interpretation of the psychometric test since your analysis would decide a person's future. It might seem like an easy profession but it surely holds the potential to change an individual's career and in turn his/her life. The Career Coach should indeed understand it value and preach accordingly.

6. Abide by the Transperancy:

While disclosing the compensation for the services, make it your prime goal to provide your anticipated services and consultation provided in the package. Ensure that the Client is well aware of the costs involved in registering for different analytical tests, college application fees and visa filing fees which are exclusive of your compensation. This transperancy would in turn help in building the trust with your client.

7. Prioritize Client's safety:

The Client is often exposed to safety issues while they plan to study in a foreign land. The Career Coach must take an effort to explain the client and his/her parents about the safety issue which are unrevealed about studying abroad or even in a different city. The Client happens to blindfolded about the safety since its never reviewed after receiving an admit. The Career Coach should refrain from potraying the false impression of the location since the Client would be away from the family and their safety is of utmost value.

8. Integrity:

When a Client approaches at a young age, he/she is bound to be influenced by incorrect image displayed by their family or friends. He/she might be in a vulnerable position and it is essential to indicate the truthful scenario to the client. A Career Coach must make every possible effort to reveal the Client about his/her personality traits, abilities, competencies and most importantly, career interest. The course pursued by the Client will open wider avenues for a brighter future and help him/her to create an exceptional scope in their domain of interest.

The following standard Terms and Conditions are for educational consultancy work provided by The Institute of Global Academia.

Introduction

The following sets out the terms and conditions on which you may use the content on website, mobile browser site, Applications and other digital publishing services owned by The Institute of Global Academia, all the services herein will be referred to as Business Standard Content Services.

1. Disclaimer

The Institute of Global Academia does not offer any warranty/ guarantee as to the accuracy of content, completeness, legality, reliability or operability or availability of information or material made available to and/or by Users. Nor does the Institute of Global Academia offer any warranty/ guarantee as to the correct communication, presentation or display of the information made available to and/or by Users.

The Institute of Global Academia excludes, in so far as it is allowed by law to do so, any warranty whatsoever related to the Services and in particular it does not offer any warranty/ guarantee as to fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement of proprietary rights, including intellectual property rights.

Nor does The Institute of Global Academia provide any warranties/ guarantee of the student’s prospects present on our Website as to the integrity and as to the services advertised on the Website or advertised and/or made available through sites linked thereto.

In particular, with respect to any immovable property that may be advertised on the Website, The Institute of Global Academia disclaims any responsibility as to its peaceful possession, title thereto, structural integrity, general conditions and surroundings, and any other condition that may attract liability.

The Institute of Global Academia further disclaims any responsibility for any damages whatsoever which may be incurred by any User when making use of the Services. The Institute of Global Academia disclaims responsibility for any improper use of Users’ Personal Data.

2.Intellectual Property Rights

Customer shall own all right, title and interest in and to the Deliverables. The rights, title and interest in and to the Deliverables shall be granted to the Customer only upon receipt of full payment. To the extent that the Deliverables incorporates Consultant pre-existing intellectual property (“Consultant Pre-existing IP”), and such Consultant Pre-Existing IP are necessarily required for the proper functioning of the Deliverables Consultant grants to Customer a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, transferable, royalty-free license to use such Consultant Pre-Existing IP solely along with the Deliverables.

3. Warranties

Except as expressly stated in this Agreement, the parties disclaim all warranties of any kind, implied, statutory, or in any communication between them, including without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability, non-infringement, title, and fitness for a particular purpose.

Program Advisors at The Institute of Global Academia /Associate have thoroughly counseled me about the expectable service within their limits as a career guidance service and have explained about my responsibilities as a student.

I am fully aware that it is my sole responsibility to show sufficient funds with supporting proof of documents for my living expenses abroad along with tuition fees for the purpose of my visa approval and pursuance of my program abroad.

I declare that I have not been convicted in a court of law in India or abroad and have no pending offences, which prevent me from overseas studies/ migration and availing its related services. I affirm that I will never indulge in any kind of activities that are unethical in the eyes of law.

I am aware that being afflicted with any contagious disease as listed by International Registrations, will bar me from travelling abroad.

I declare that as a good citizen of India, I shall never indulge in any unlawful activities that harm the society or the concern or its employees/associates. I understand that my registration will be cancelled automatically, if I am found to be providing false and incorrect information.

The services of the guidance service to the student is only related and restricted to the admission process. The services do not extend to assist him /her with placement, part time jobs, migration or settlement to countries where admission is sought.

The service fee charged is for the admission/provisional admission and The Institute of Global Academia will not be responsible in case the student does not clear the conditions stated by the university or the immigration authorities of that country applied to, as stated in the provisional admissions. The institute of Global Academia does NOT prepare or assist in preparation of any documents relating to personal information, education, work experience, finances etc.

The student understands that work without authorization can lead to deportation or detention and other legal problems. The student is expected to have the funds for the full duration of the course tuition fee and living cost etc.

The student agrees that once he/she enrolls in the international institute of his/her choice, The Institute of Global Academia would not be liable for the teaching standards and issues of sovereignty of the institute, climatic conditions, extension and reasons/demands that are beyond the control of the consultancy, he/she would not hold The Institute of Global Academia responsible for any of the above issues as he/she has willfully chosen to study.

Any student illegally moving out from the destination country / University he/she will be legally prosecuted. The Institute of Global Academia will not be responsible for the same.

All disputes are subject to Maharashtra, Mumbai Jurisdiction only.

I indemnify The Institute of Global Academia, Maharashtra from any acts of omission or commission done by me for the purpose of admission and student visa and I absolve them of any risk or liability that may occur due to such misrepresentation of facts related to my education, finances, personal details, work experience, intentions etc.

I affirm that all information provided in this application is complete and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief and I am willing to provide any additional information and document, which will be genuine as, and when required for further procedures related to services sought by me.

I agree that I have read and understood and The Institute of Global Academia has also made me understand all the clauses of this agreement in the language I understand and agree to abide by them fully.

4.Limitation of Liability

The total liability of the parties under this Agreement (whether in contract, tort (including negligence)) shall not exceed the fees paid to Consultant hereunder. The parties disclaim any indirect, special, consequential or incidental damages or loss of revenue or business profits, however caused, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. The foregoing limitations of liability will apply notwithstanding the failure of essential purpose of any limited remedy herein.

5.Termination and Consequences

In the event of this agreement being terminated whether by effluxion of time, notice, breach or otherwise and without prejudice to any other remedy available to The Institute of Global Academia the Client shall immediately pay to the Company:

any sums due under the terms of this agreement, and

in the event of termination by reason of sub-clauses 8.1, 8.3, 8.4 or 8.5, any further sums which would, but for the termination of this agreement have fallen due by the end of the Company’s engagement less a discount for any accelerated payment at the rate of 5% per annum.

6.Recruitment of the Company’s Staff

The Client undertakes that it (including for this purpose any subsidiary or associated organization) or any person connected with it will not directly or indirectly recruit as an employee or engage as an independent contractor any person employed or so engaged by The Institute of Global Academia in connection with the services provided hereunder for a period of twelve months after such person last provided services to the Client.

If the Client is in breach of condition 10.1, the Client, recognizing that The Institute of Global Academia will suffer substantial damage, will pay to The Institute of Global Academia by way of liquidated damages (and not as penalty) a sum equal to the annual salary for the immediately preceding 12 months of the person concerned or such sum on a pro rata basis where the person concerned was employed by The Institute of Global Academia or was undertaking services for The Institute of Global Academia for less than the preceding 12 months.

Indemnity and Release

Users shall indemnify The Institute of Global Academia and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, officers and employees and hold them harmless from any and all claims and expenses, including legal fees arising from your use of the Services.

Users shall release The Institute of Global Academia and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, officers and employees from any and all claims, demands, debts, obligations, damages (actual or consequential), costs, and expenses of any kind or nature whatsoever.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy of The Institute of Global Academia as stated hereunder shall not apply vis-à-vis such data and/or information as a User may disclose to another User.

Governing Law

All disagreements, issues or disputes arising from or related to the use of the Services and/or to the application, interpretation or construction of these Terms of Use shall be resolved in an amicable fashion.

Where no amicable settlement is reached within sixty (60) days, the disagreement, issue or dispute shall be referred to arbitration in terms of the Arbitration. The sixty days shall start to run from when either The Institute of Global Academia or the User shall formally notify the other party in writing of the existence of a disagreement, issue or dispute.
